Towngate Theatre presents "Places"
Summary
Playwright and longtime creator of Mystery Theatre Unlimited Productions, Butch Maxwell brings both a deep love of theatre and a sharp understanding of performance, identity, and human contradiction to his original play "Places".
In "Places" a suburban mother and former theatre critic joins a community production of "The Importance of Being Earnest", awakening a long dormant part of herself in the process. Set against the familiar chaos, humor, and vulnerability of community theatre, "Places" explores reinvention, marriage, memory, and the terrifying exhilaration of allowing yourself to be seen again,
8 p.m. June 12 & June 13 and 3pm, June 14.
Tickets: $15
WILL CALL POLICY:
Those purchasing tickets more than 24 hours in advance of the show can pick up tickets at the Will Call area in the Towngate lobby the night of the show. No lines. No waiting.
