Tell a Story Workshop with WV Storytelling Guild 2024 (CANCELLED)
Summary
At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants will be able to craft and tell a five-eight minute story.
The goal of the workshop is to show the participants how to find a story to tell, whether it is an existing story or an original one, prepare it for telling to an audience, and to successfully tell the story. The goal, of course, is to learn how much fun storytelling can be!
A member(s) of the WVSG will lead the participants through some simple exercises and encourage them to begin building their stories on information presented during the morning session. During the afternoon session, the participants will have an opportunity to polish their stories in preparation for an informal performance for parents and friends.
By working with the instructor and other workshop members, the participants will be able to gain confidence in speaking before others,and will be able to mentally organize the material they will be presenting.
