Oglebay Institute and West Liberty University are partnering to offer a unique opportunity for music-making in the Ohio Valley. The Ohio Valley Electronic Music Workshop is a two-week summer workshop for high school students which will explore the practice and performance of electronic music. Students will learn about various forms of musical expression and learn to perform using various types of electronic musical instruments. West Liberty University will provide the leadership and all of the instruments and equipment. On the final day of the workshop, the OV-EMW Ensemble will perform a public concert.
BYOI = Bring Your Own Instrument. We can incorporate any acoustic instrument or voice into the experience. If you make music on a laptop, bring it with you! If you’ve never made music with electronics but are curious, we want you too!
