Nesting Seed Pods - Building Organic Forms in Clay

Summary

In this workshop, participants will be invited to bring a seed pod or another natural object as inspiration for their sculpture. We will explore techniques for building forms from solid clay, hollowing, and capturing natural gesture and movement.
Each participant will create a functional sculptural piece designed to hold or contain something, composed of two complimentary forms that nest within one another. The workshop will focus on form, composition, gesture, and the interaction between paired elements, encourageing both observation and creative interpretation of the natural world.
